What is worse?

Let's picture a fisherman out on the river. He sees a fish, an extremely rare fish.

Case 1
The fish bites the hook and is caught but the hook breaks and the fish gets away.

Case 2
The fish is just about to bite the hook but as it's mouth is about the bite down it decides not to and swims away.

In both cases the fisherman does not get the fish in the end. However, both fisherman had different experiences with the fish. So, the question is, is it better to have known the joy of having caught the fish before letting it get away. Or is it better to have never known the joy of having caught the fish but instead, experienced what it was like to have the fish just about to bite the hook.

There is no correct answer, just how you feel. Infact, there may not be an answer to this question.

Lifes a bitch sometimes. Really screws you in the ass, but hey! Who gives a shit. >.>
